On January 20th through the 30th, Algonquin Arts Theatre will present nine performances of Tuesdays with Morrie, the live play with music, adapted from The New York Times best-selling book by author Mitch Albom. This professional performance produced by Algonquin Arts Theatre and directed by Robert Johanson features actors William Whitefield as Mitch and Jerry Hyman as Morrie.

Robert Johanson was the Artistic Director for Paper Mill Playhouse for many years, and there he directed The Wizard of Oz (which transferred to The Theatre at Madison Square Garden in New York City), as well as the world premieres of Sayonara, Mikado Inc., The Prisoner of Zenda, Comfortable Shoes, among many others. Some of actor Jerry Hyman's notable roles include Boardwalk Empire and the film The Life of Jesus. William Whitefield is a professional actor and the Executive Director at Algonquin Arts Theatre. He played the lead role of Giuseppe in The Gondoliers as well as feature roles in The Pirates of Penzance starring Hal Linden at New York's City Center, and was featured in PBS's The Presidents starring Rich Little.

Tuesdays with Morrie is an inspiring drama that chronicles the profound relationship of Mitch Albom and his college professor from nearly twenty years prior, Morrie Schwartz. This play features standards like The Very Thought of You and All the Things You Are, which highlight the theme of this story-a life is not measured by what you make, but by what you make of it. This production is suitable for ages twelve and older, and parents and grandparents are encouraged to bring their families.

Tuesdays with Morrie will appear on stage at AAT as follows: Thursday, January 20 at 8pm (preview), Friday, January 21 at 8pm, Saturday, January 22 at 8pm, Sunday, January 23 at 3pm (after show Q&A with the cast), Thursday, January 27 at 10 am & 2pm, Friday, January 28 at 10am, Saturday, January 29 at 8pm, and Sunday, January 30 at 3pm.
