ShoreDance Returns with Broadway Talent

ShoreDance Goes Broadway this year at Algonquin Arts Theatre. The ever-popular ShoreDance program, a week-long dance intensive taught daily by professional dancers, returns August 16th - 21st with a final performance for the public on Saturday August 21st at 8 pm. This season, extraordinary Broadway professionals such as Joshua Bergasse, James Kinney, and Jessica Dillan, will grace the stage. The main stage performance will not only feature these and five other professional dancers, but will also showcase the talented, local dancers who participate in ShoreDance. The performance will include song and dance numbers from popular Broadway shows.

Students of all ages and levels of dance experience are encouraged to enroll in this once - in - a - lifetime program. The classes will be divided according to level of experience and include workshops based around Broadway repertoire, jazz & technique, ballet, Broadway tap and more. Registration is $295 for the entire week or $75 for one day.

ShoreDance Director and Instructor Joshua Bergasse, a New York City-based director and choreographer, has been seen in Hairspray on Broadway and many other productions. He is also a dance instructor at Broadway Dance Center. James Kinney, another instructor of this program, has been seen in Sweet Charity on Broadway and has also performed at Carnegie Hall and at The White House. Finally, instructor Jessica Dillan, who was part of the final company of Cats on Broadway, is also a soloist with the Albano Ballet Company and Seiskaya Ballet Company.

Ticket prices to see the main stage performance on August 21st are $25 for adults and $20 for students and children. Box office hours are Monday - Friday from 9 am to 5 pm and Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm. Algonquin Arts Theatre is located at 173 Main Street in downtown Manasquan, NJ.
