Algonquin Arts Presents the Critically-Acclaimed Film "Greetings From The Shore"

Algonquin Arts in Manasquan will be featuring the critically acclaimed movie, Greetings From The Shore, which was filmed in Lavallette, NJ. This independent film has been featured at sixty-five film festivals and has won forty-five awards so far, including Best Screenplay at The 2008 Fargo Film Festival and the Audience Award at The 2008 Garden State Film Festival. The film stars Kim Shaw as Jenny Chambers and Paul Sorvino playing Catch Turner.

The story involves a young women’s coming of age as she deals with the death of her father and spends one last summer at the Jersey Shore before going away to college. This film unravels into a tale of unexpected love, mysterious Russian sailors, and high-stakes gambling. Greetings From The Shore has a running time of one hour and fifty-eight minutes and is rated “R” for language by The Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA). Greetings From The Shore will begin playing at Algonquin Arts on Friday, September 12, 2008. The show times and dates are as follows:

Tickets are $6 for adults and $5 for seniors and students. Tickets for films are sold at the theatre prior to each movie show time.
